Matters needing attention when welding stainless steel

1. The welding should be firm and reliable, and the solder on the outer surface of the parts should be filled in place, leaving no gaps.
2. The welding seam should be neat and uniform, and no defects such as cracks, undercuts, gaps, burn through, etc. are allowed. There should be no defects such as slag inclusions, pores, weld bumps, pits, etc. on the outer surface, and the inner surface should not be obvious.

3. The surface of the parts should be smoothed and polished after welding, and the surface roughness value is 12.5. For the welding surfaces in the same plane, there should be no visible protrusions and depressions on the surface after treatment.
4 The welding operation should formulate a process to eliminate welding stress as much as possible. There must be tooling when welding and no deformation of parts due to welding are allowed. If necessary, the workpiece should be corrected after welding. Assemble according to the requirements of the drawings, and no missing, wrong, or incorrect position is allowed.
5. In order to prevent the appearance of welding pores, the welding parts must be cleaned up if there is rust, oil stains, etc.

6. In order to make the argon gas well protect the welding pool and facilitate the welding operation, the centerline of the tungsten electrode and the welding workpiece should generally maintain an angle of 80~85°. The angle between the filler wire and the surface of the workpiece should be as small as possible, generally about 10°.
7. Generally suitable for the welding of thin plates below 6mm, with the characteristics of beautiful welding seam shape and small welding deformation
